About Wayne

Wayne Zuhl is the creator and host of the AstroGuy Podcast and YouTube channel, where he shares a passion for astronomy through monthly sky guides, observing discussions, astrophotography, and space exploration news. Known for his conversational and educational style, Wayne combines technical accuracy with practical observing experience, helping both beginners and experienced observers better understand and appreciate the night sky.

A lifelong astronomy enthusiast, Wayne enjoys visual observing, lunar and planetary imaging, deep sky astrophotography, and public outreach. His observing interests range from subtle lunar details to faint, unique objects. Through the AstroGuy Podcast, he aims to make astronomy approachable while encouraging listeners to spend more time under the stars and develop their own observing skills.

Wayne is also an active member of several amateur astronomy clubs and regularly attends astronomy events and star parties, including the North East Astronomy Forum (NEAF) and Stellafane. In addition to producing regular podcast episodes and YouTube content, he has hosted live mission coverage and special episodes on major astronomy topics, historic astronomers, space exploration and live imaging sessions.

Outside of astronomy, Wayne works as a REALTOR® in New Jersey, helping people buy and sell homes throughout Central New Jersey. He is also active in community organizations and public service groups, including Rotary International.

When he’s not producing episodes, imaging the night sky, or editing videos, Wayne enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, doting over their wonderful grandchildren and continuing to explore the universe one clear night at a time.
